My little secret...

Ok so it's ot really a secret at all. My "secret" is that I absolutely LOVE soy milk. I'm not a super huge dairy fan. I mean I don't go over the top or anything. My hubby has a semi weird reaction to dairy & for the last year or so we've only been doing the soy milk thing. It tastes really nummy. I have foud the nutritional benefits of soy to be on par with normal milk & the taste is awesome to me.

I stumbled upon a sweepstakes sponsored by Silk Soy. It's time to go to Maui baby! So, I figured I'd share the link. You can enter everyday & they are giving away some instant prizes. I haven't won any yet but it's worth a shot. Enter for your chance to win here & find out more about my nummy secret snack.

Bye Bye Farm Fresh

I was really bummed when I heard that Farm Fresh, one of my local grocery stores is going out of business next month. It's not that I shop there all that often, in fact I tend to divide my time between Harris Teeter, Walmart, and Food Lion. It's mainly that Farm Fresh had brought some healthy competition to my area. In fact, my Harris Teeter has tripled coupons consistently ever since Farm Fresh opened (obviously to be a direct competitor). The result has been that we've snagged some of the best deals ever! Competition drove down prices and increased the incentives which were really, really helpful in these crazy times. So needless to say I am bummed about the passing of our dear friend Farm Fresh.
Well, on a lighter note, the store is going to have to get rid of all those groceries at some point. I'll keep you posted when I hear of any amazing liquidations!

New Printable Coupons for January '09

One of my favorite coupon sites has updated their printable coupons for the month of January - yippie! As you may have noticed in the past, these coupons seem to change regularly are almost always not available any longer once a certain number of people have printed them. Even if I don't know that I'll use the item, I usually print them. One of my grocery stores still triples coupons so it's worth it to print off the low amounts too. On more than one occasion I waited to print mine only to find them gone.

Each time you print coupons from this site or the toolbar on the right you support this site (go you!) & you get to do it for free. As always, each coupon can be printed twice from each computer you own. Simply print the coupons once, hit the back button, then refresh your screen.

Here's some good coupons I see:
  • Kraft string cheese $1/1- nummy
  • Country Crock sides $1/1 - I hardly ever see these this high
  • Ocean spray $1/1- on sale at a lot of stores right now
  • Green Giant steamers $0.60/1- can you say triple coupons & more free veggies?
  • Kings Hawaiin bread $1/1- makes for really good french toast
  • Snuggle $1/1- This looks like a Target coupon so it can be combined with another manufacturer's coupon- hello!
  • Pizza rolls $1/2- my very favorite lunch snack

These are the best deals for my household but there are many more. I'll keep you posted on the next coupon site update!

Free or nearly free Ben & Jerrys ice cream

Seriously, my freezer has almost no room in it from al the Christmas food ad good deals I'm storing but I'll certainly find some more room for some Ben & Jerrys ice cream. You can
sign up to receive a $3/1 on any pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream coupon in your email inbox!

This goes for $3- $3.28 at most Walmart locations. Can you say FREE treats. Just what I need for the new year...
