Tryology: Try New Products for Stuff

So I just signed up for something called Tryology. Anyone heard of it? Manufacturers send you products to try before they hit the market & you upload videos with your honest opinion. You get stuff & points for doing it which you can use for gift cards, prizes and other stuff. I got 290 points for creating an account & taking a few quizzes. All in all, it was about 10 minutes & I'm 1/2 way to a $5 gift card. Thought I'd share the Expo TV Tryology link with my frugal friends if you want to give it a whirl.

Making Money: Take surveys

I'd mentioned in a previous post about how I have been taking a few online surveys for a number of years. I wanted to share with you one of my very favorite companies, Pinecone Research.

I LOVE this company & have always found them super reputable. You usually get $3 for every survey which typically last between 5-15 minutes online. It's not all that much but you get to learn about new products about to hit the market. I've also received products sent to my home to test out & report back.

The company is very exclusive, usually by invitation only but they are actually recruiting for new participants right now on their site. I know that they are seeking out 18-24 years old individuals for sure and others as needed. Hurry & stick your name in their database before they take this recruitment offer down. If you have the demographics of what they're looking for, they will contact you via email after a few days.

Free Sammie + cookie on your birthday @ Quiznos

Quiznos

If you would like to sign up for the Quiznos Q Club (it's free, of course), you'll get a free sammie sandwich, coupons/ promotions via email, and a free cookie on your birthday.

Even though we have a Quiznos close by, I don't go there that often. For a while, the prices seemed a little steep for a sub. I'm loving a little healthy competition though becasue it seems like across the board, prices come on down & work in my favor. With all of the good promotions and coupons, the stop to Quiznos is totally worth it to me now. It doesn't hurt to sign up if nothing else for a free sandwich!

New Printable Coupons for June '09

One of my favorite coupon sites has updated their printable coupons for the month of June- yippie! As you may have noticed in the past, these coupons seem to change regularly are almost always not available any longer once a certain number of people have printed them. Even if I don't know that I'll use the item, I usually print them. One of my grocery stores still doubles coupons so it's worth it to print off the low amounts too. On more than one occasion I waited to print mine right before a sale only to find them gone.

Each time you print coupons from this site or the toolbar on the right you support this site (go you!) & you get to do it for free. As always, each coupon can be printed twice from each computer you own. Simply print the coupons once, hit the back button, then refresh your screen.

Here's some good coupons I see:

  • Kraft cheese $1/2 - these have been great to pair up with Target and Food Lion sales which let you use (1) manufacturer's coupon in addition to (1) store coupon
  • Betty Crocker warm delights $.50/1
  • Betty Crocker frosting $.50/1
  • Chex Mix $0.50/1- this is always going on sale at my grocery store
  • Minute rice $.50/1- I love this one because when my store triples coupons I get this for free

These are the best deals for my household but there are many more. I'll keep you posted on the next coupon site update! Until then, print away!

50 free prints at CVS!

CVS is once again running the 50 free prints promotion. Just go to their site & sign up for free! You get 20 free prints when you sign up & 30 when you link your exta care card. The best part is that there is no expiration (I still have mine in the account from last year) and you can often combine these free prints with other deals. You can also have your family members sign up. My hubby got 50 free ones too. You can pick your prints up for free at any CVS; I wasn't even charged tax. This is a great one!

Harris Teeter- triple coupons this week

Good news. Harris Teeter is once again tripling coupons - yippie! Consider this a tribute to the local readers and those with Harris Teeter grocery stores nearby. Jenny at Southern Savers has compiled a huge list of the best deals to be found at Harris Teeter tomorrow for their triple coupons week. Here are a few of the best deals:

FYI, if you're new: If you see a date like this- 4/20 SS, that means you should look in the coupons in the 4/20 paper marked Smartsource, anything with a date and RP or V means it's in the Red Plum circular (formerly known as Valassis) & P&G is the Proctor & Gamble coupon circular sent out only once per month.

Also, be sure to first read my previous post on How to Work a Double/ Triple Coupon Sale before heading out. You probably know by now that Harris Teeter sales go from Wed-Tuesday. There's lots of sales but here is just a taste of the best deals goin on this week:

  1. Capri Sun Drinks (10-pk.), $1.99. Use $0.75/1 Capri Sun Drink (Kraft Food & Family Summer ‘09)= FREE
  2. Pringles Potato Crisps Super Stack, $1.50. Use $0.50/1 (P&G 5/17/09)= FREE
  3. Hot Pockets Panini, $2. Use $0.75/1 (SS 4/26/09)= FREE
  4. Eggo Waffles, $1.66. Use $0.75/1 (V 4/5/09)= FREE

Before you head out, be sure to also check the printable coupons that I have to the right toolbar. You can print these now. The Harris Teeter coupon policy does not double/ triple these internet printables but at my local store they always do.

Do you see any other deal you'd like to share with the readers? We promise not to clean the shelves... he he he

I'm back (sort of)

Thanks for your emails and kind words as I have taken a bloggining break for a few weeks. I can say that I graduated with my doctorate degree and have taken some time to recoup from the craziness. I have had to make some tough decisions about keeping my time in perspective and getting my family back into a normal routine. But never fear, I'm not going anywhere. I'll be back at more great deals and things you should snag.

I'm happy to report that hubby & I recently held our annual yard sale. This year we sold many of the toilery items that I post for you here. Let's just say we did well & went on a vacation with our spoils.

Well, I look forward to chatting with you all soon. Thanks for checking in & letting me know that you missed the blog. You keep me going! I'll be recruiting some financial divas to help me scout out good deals in the upcoming months. If you're interested, send me an email & I'll let you know what I'm thinking.
